Beige Is Here to Stay – But Make It Interesting
One thing caught my eye right away: the neutral palette isn’t going anywhere – but it’s no longer going it alone. Beige is being layered, contrasted, and reimagined:
- Rust red, electric blue, and deep indigo break the calm in striking ways
- I loved the mix of brushed chrome and rustic tones
- Even bold greens and pops of pink made appearances – daring, yet refined
You can feel it: spaces are allowed to feel again. It’s about personality, not just polish.
Materials That Speak to the Senses
What truly excited me was the attention to tactile materials. Glossy, sterile surfaces were rare – instead, there was a feast of textures:
- Rough stone, richly grained wood, matte steel
- Velvets, mohair, and bouclé in deep, moody tones
- An invitation to touch, not just look
Especially in our work as interior designers in Berlin – a city that can often feel fast and cold – we know how crucial this material depth is to creating a true sense of comfort and grounding.
Forms That Make a Statement
This year, a lot of furniture was unapologetically bold. Pieces that tell you something about the people who live with them:
- Organic, sculptural sofas and armchairs
- Sideboards that double as art installations
- Modular systems that let spaces flow naturally
What really moved me were the exhibitors who dared to design imperfectly – with honesty, not just perfection.
What Are We Bringing Back to Berlin?
At Klotz Interior Berlin, we came back with plenty of inspiration – but not just a list of trends. What we really brought home was a feeling:
Spaces should tell stories about the people who live in them – not just mimic Pinterest boards.
Our clients often come to us looking for both inspiration and grounding. That’s what we want to reflect even more consciously in our upcoming projects.
Already Looking Ahead
Milan Design Week 2025 reminded us how much power great design holds – when we listen, not just look. We’re already looking forward to 2026 – and to exploring those trends with you, our Klotz Interior community, translating them into real, lived-in spaces.
